Albert Di Rienzo to be one of six project reviewers and judges for the “Driving Inspiration & Innovation through Collaborations Research Competition” with the State University of New York Upstate Medical University & Syracuse University

Designed to stimulate collaborative, transdisciplinary research between faculty at SUNY Upstate Medical University and Syracuse University, the Nappi family has allocated $500,000 in research awards for biomedical and healthcare related projects, with the maximum award being $100,000 per collaboration project. Ten finalist teams will compete for a share of the research awards, being selected from a pool of approximately fifty submissions.

The final team pitches will be presented to the panel of judges on 11 December 2015 at the Syracuse University Life Sciences Complex. Each team will have three minutes to present, with a couple minutes for questions by the panel of judges. A reception and awards ceremony will immediately follow the Competition. The project reviewers and judges are Sam and Carol Nappi, David Amberg (VP of Research at SUNY Upstate), Gina Lee-Glauser (VP of Research at Syracuse University), Marc Viggiano (CEO and Founder of Niteopark, LLC).
